Appreciate some assistance.

Trying to help a gentleman with his computer troubles.
XP Home OS

He connects with SBC Yahoo DSL, however, the PC is at my home, and need to use dial-up. His SBC connection, of course, does not work, and does not show up in IE.

Internet Explorer is nowhere to be seen on the Desktop, and can't seem to find it elsewhere. Tried a Windows Update Internet Pack CD with IE6, but the PC says IE is already installed.

Any clues as to how to get IE to show up.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Right click on the desktop. Go to properties, Click the Desktop Tab, Then click on the "Customize desktop" Button.

Now just check the "internet Explorer" box and click "ok" "Apply" then "ok"

you should be all set..

If that dont work you can do this.

Open this folder: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer

Right click on IEEXPLORE.exe and select "Send To" "Desktop (Create Shoertcut)"

One of those will work for you..
