Solved where do temp download files go?

Specs: windows xp pro/sp2, PII366/128MB

where do the files that you download of the net get saved? j/w because i want to clear it out. thanks for any replies, brian

alcohol cause's amnesia and other problems i don't remember...

They go anywhere you tell them to go. It could be anywhere!

To find out, start a download from someplace. BEFORE you click the Save button, on the last window, look in the pop-down slot at the top of the window. It will display where you are saving the file. All of your previous downloads will be there too

sorry, thats not what i meant, i meant as they are downloading. you know when your downloading a file and perhaps you accidentally hit cancel, then when you start the file download the part you have downloaded is still there. im using internet explorer nothing else. thanks again

They are downloaded to 'c:\windows\temporary internet files' and then when the download completes they are copied to the folder that you have selected.
