Hi, please help!
Ive just been given got my in-laws old computer (which they had lotsa problems with) and there is an error message on bootup with the B: drive - i didnt know there was a B drive, until i looked in "My Computer" where its stated i have two "5 3/4 inch floppy drives" (the computer isnt that old - bout 1998ish), called "A:" and "B:". I guess the 3 1/2 floppy drive is the "A:" (although why is it coming up as a 5 3/4 inch (???)) but where has this "B:" drive come from, there is only a floppy drive and a hard drive attached, no other removable disk drives.
I was wondering how to get rid of this "B:" as it causes the error on startup and a load of code comes up, and how to change my "5 3/4" back to 3 1/2 floppy drive in My Computer, as I cant access the floppy drive????

The B drive was probaly enabled in the bios. You need to go to system setup towards the beginning of the boot process, then once your in the bios (system setup) you can disable your B drive. You shouldn't have a B drive in your system. That should fix it.

Someone has been into your bios, and set it to default settings. As stated above, you will have to enter setup, disable the b:\ drive and change the size of the a:\ drive to 3 1\2 inch floppy.
