Comment: hi, i recently reformated my computer and i need a sound card driver because i currently have no sound at all i checked my device manager and under the Sound, video and game controllers i found audio codecs, legacy audio drivers, legacy video capture devices, media control device, MPU-401 compatible MIDI device, standard gameport, video codecs. which is for sound and where can i downlaod it. any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance

Reply: (edit)Look like you already have sound drivers installed. Did any of these items have yellow question mark next to them? If not then the drivers are fine and the problem lies elsewhere. Stuart

Reply: (edit)Download and run everest home edition from lavalys.com to identify the exact soundcard and then google for drivers. Try driverguide.com Have you tried to update driver using the wizard in devicemanager and let windows do the websearch? I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
