Where can I get a free bios upgrade

CPU/Ram: 2.4/1024
Comment: Hi,
I'm trying to get a free bios upgrade. I currently have:
Award Modular Bios v6.0
Chipset = SIS 661 rev 17
OEM Sign On = ASUS P4S800MX ACPI BIOS REVISION 1005
Is this enough information. I've browsed the web and the only one I could find would cost me $30.00 - a bit excessive for a student.

Why do you want to upgrade BIOS? More often than not, flashing BIOS can cause your working PC to end up as a door stop.

Reply: No need to upgrade BIOS. Go to the chipset manufacturer's website under support and see if there is an update download for your chipset.

I thought I had to get it from the AWARD site. They were the ones going to charge me $30.
Have updated bios and chipset drivers and computer starts up beautifully.
