Where can i download notepad.exe?

Hi i recently had a virus, and notepad.exe was deleted in process. Well i use notpad.exe on a daily basis for programming various things that i don't edit in MSDEV. Rather then reinstall windows. Can any of you give me a link to a place where i can download notepad.exe for XP home. i checked microsoft.com couldn't find it.

Run system file checker - start - run - type in sfc /scannow. Note space between c and /. You may need your windows CD if the check finds anything wrong.

You don't need to download it. Notepad comes in Win98_46.cab, so it will be on your Cd (or hard drive if you copied the cd onto your hard drive).

The Win XP Notpad.exe is version 5.1.2600.0, which the Win 98 version is not. So expect some problems if you down that path.
