When I hooked it up the computer, it said to inhuawei m635

Specs: Windows XP
I was told prior to purchasing this Huawei m635 phone (on Dec 14, 2011) that photos could be downloaded from it to my Windows HP XP computer with the cable provided with the phone. When I hooked it up the computer, it said to insert disc. There was no disc that came with the camera. I went back to the store and they said that HUAWEI.COM
would have the driver download needed to make this work.
But when I email or had a chat with the tec support he left me feeling like giving up, by saying there is no such soft ware or way to get the pictures from the phone to the computer!

Your best bet is to contact their support here: http://support.huawei.com/support/

Their global support is here: http://www.huawei.com/en/

Under the heading for Connectivity, it only lists bluetooth.

There is also a separate HARDWARE heading that says USB2 Mass Storage Device.

The phone seems to have provision for SD/MicroSD or MicroSDHC card. Does your phone contain either of these memory cards? If not it is possible windows will not recognize the phone as a mass storage device without a memory card in place. You may be able to save your photos to the card memory rather than the phone memory and transfer them to the PC that way.

We had a Nokia phone last year ( cheap one) that had a mini usb port. Turned out that port could only be used for technician access. Windows PCs could not communicate with it.

It'll work in the phone. No idea whether your computer has a cardreader. I picked up one of ebay from Hong Kong for about $5 delivered. That price for the microSDHC card seems a little high as well. I recently paid about $8 for the same thing but without the SD adapter. I already had an adapter. That is Class 4 flash memory.
and for the price I would expect Class 10. ( I do not shop newegg as I am not in US)
