I have posted this question before and got the reply from 'Tufenuf'....

Recently.... my window is behaving weired. When I click anywhere or try to do anything, windows just open up a 'windows search'. I looked at some of the community pages... and performed few things suggested... It worked fine for few hours but again went back to the same problem. I am told XP has this as a known problem !!!

Tufenuf, suggested me to type "regsvr32 /i shell32" in the run window and restart the computor. I did and the problem was fixed, however... it keeps coming back every few days.

...its like the computor works fine and then I gets the same problem (search window appearing). When I type the command (regsvr32 /i shell32), restart computor, is disappears... again after few days it goes back to same... Again when I type commands problem disappears and so on....

FYI... my virus scanner is good and I have also run anti-spyware program

Any suggestions.

ami, Go to the link below and scroll down to line 18 (right column) and click on "Search Opens When Double Clicking A Folder" to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it or right click it and choose "Merge" and answer yes to the import prompt.
