Hi all.
When Windows starts, Norton Antivirus 2003 Pro shows me this message: "Norton AntiVirus was unable to start the Instant Messenger scanner. It will be unable to scan Instant Messenger downloads for infections.". Below that I have a link to Symantec technical support knolwledge base. If I click "Ok" it just keeps coming back after a minute, and in the Symantec page it says to uninstall the program, either manually or by a removal tool, they both didn't work. Even more, I installed Norton AntiVirus 2004 and that didn't work as well.
(Down the message that it shows me, there's a number which I assume is the problem number - 3021,4)What can I do?
Thanks, Nemets.

Hi there
I think your problem lies with whatever program you use for ( Instant messanging Im'ing) such as MSN messange or AOL's AIM. You may not van use one just that it is installedd on your machine. Window automtacally comes with MSN essanger 4.0. Microosft for some reson decided a few months ago (probably almost a year ago) that they didnt want people to use anything but their latest versions of messanger so they locked any version bellow 5. I belive there is a patch for this but downloading messanger 6 is easier as its link is not so obscure of Microsoft webiste. I think if you dowbload messanger 6 and install it then this will solve your problem as the infomation can be then alterd by Norton antivirus automtaclly. You may also find that there are ways to disable the IM scanning but I'm not a Norton user so couldnt tell you those. IOf neither of those ideas solve the problem then maybbe you should reinstall XP.
