I'm trying to use Intervideo WinDVR, but keep getting this error message:

The instruction at "0x5f420b2a" referenced memory at "0x00000002". The memory could not be "read".

Can anyone tell me what this means. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but still get this message.

A little more information: I ran memtest86 and it reported no errors, so it's not a memory problem. Any ideas?

Hi, this means that your Intervideo codec is not working propertly so, search on the web and try to download it again.

you were trying to see a DVD or a video (mpg, avi, etc)

No, I was trying to record from my tv card. The software shows the splash screen, then the error message mentioned above. It gives me the choice of closing the program or debugging. When I choose debug, Visual C++ opens, and gives me this message:

Unhandled exception in WINDVR.exe (MFC42.DLL):0xC0000005:Access Violation.

I'm not a programmer, so I don't know what this means, but having reinstalled the software, I can't see why the codecs wouldn't be reinstalled also. I did go to Intervideos website, and found no mention of codecs anywhere on the site.
