Subject: What's The Problem With DRM?OS: XP ProCPU/Ram: AMD Athlon XP 1800+/768 D |
Comment: I was attempting to stream a video from wwe.com and WMP 9 gave me a message saying that my DRM (Digital Rights Management) rights need to be updated in order to play this protected file. I've been hearing people bashing DRM for quite some time because of security problems etc. So I was wondering if soemone here could tell me what problems there are with DRM and if I should hit the magic "OK" button in order to update it. Thanks.

Reply: (edit)That's exactly why I posted this question. I did about an hour's worth of research on Google and the MS website and half WMP users feels it's perfectly safe and problem free when it comes to the overall "health" of their computer and its software. However, the other half believe it to be some sort of eveil hellspawn of programming that is practically a trojan.
