Solved What's the best free youtube video download software pkg?

I use YouTube downloader (YTD): http://majorgeeks.com/YTD_Downloade... On the plus side this is one of the few that keeps right up to date when YouTube makes changes (quite often). It also allows you to select quality and size - flv and mp4. On the minus side you have to untick all sorts of unwanted toolbars and other goodies during install - sadly all too frequent with downloads these days. It does remind you every so often that they have a Pro version but this is not particularly intrusive. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

If you don't mind having java on your computer, I would go to this website: www.savetube.com Copy & paste the youtube url in the vid box and you will get a link to click on. Choose different extension saves like .flv, or mp4 for example and various resolutions. If you are using Chrome and/or Firefox as your browser then you can download youtube extension toolbar.
