Hey, was having 100% cpu usage problems and after months of searching, had to format.

Now, after I defrag with Diskeeper, my drive will immediately start fragmenting. Like if I defrag today, tomorrow I will analyze and it will say it's heavily fragmented.

This has never happened before and you would expect it if I was adding/deleting and moving files or playin any games. But I'm doin nothing more than surfin. After defragmenting, I will analyze 20 minutes later and this process has already taken effect.

Here are 2 screenshots (sorry, image station shrinks em down) and if you compare them in separate windows, you'll see what I'm talkin about.

Right after defragging:

It keeps gettin worse until I defrag again and then it starts all over. No viruses or spyware; searched with Norton, Trojan Remover, BPS Spyware Remover and Adaware. Like I said, this has never happened before and I've been using Diskeeper for some time. It's been like this since I formatted about 2 weeks ago.

AMD 750, 512 Ram, GeForce 2, XP Pro

If I were you, first run scandisk, then I will uninstall diskeeper and download a trial version of Perfectdisk 6 and see if that can solve the problem. If No, then it has something to do with your XP and you better prepare to reformat again. If Yes, then something is wrong with your Diskeeper installation and you might have to reinstall Diskeeper one more time, or better yet, switch to Perfectdisk, and you will not be disappointed, in my own opinion.
