Specs: Windows XP pro., 260 of ram/600m
I have a problem, I have very little free space. I want into disk Management and it shows one Partition with a healthy (System) and it shows one Extended Partition on the bottom with a green box in front of it??
But in msconfig, under Boot.INI it shows two Partitions #1 with XP Pro. And #1 with XP home Ed. Two Partition with the same name or number that is. Whats with that? And how do I separate the two OS from the one partiton and Delete the one I'm not useing.

My Default OS is XP pro. The Boot ini file is NTFS. My problem is separating the two OS from the one partition.

Boot.ini should show the folders from which the OS's are being loaded and whether they are in the same partition.

If both OS's are in the same partition, and assuming that XP Pro was the second OS to be installed it should be in a folder named something like Windows000, XP Home should be in a folder named Windows.

Can you confirm that both folders exist before proceeding by having a look at C: using Explorer or posting your Boot.ini file?

Ensure your backup is up-to-date. You must positively identify which Windows/Windows0 folder is to be deleted.

Read as many of the entries here http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=dele... as you can, certainly this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888023 and this http://amazzz-in.blogspot.com/2008/...
