maybe the option to view it like that. I like the current setup because I'm more interested in what is a current topic rather than what is a "hot" topic.

...and you have the ability to add any post to your "My Computing.net" so you can track all of your interesting posts.

I like the current set up too.
One of the problems with your desired setup is if someone has a post that not too many can help with then that post will drop out of site way too fast in lieu of the hotter topics. These forums get a lot of traffic.

I have not seen the "My Computing.net" feature on other sites.
