The Wildtangent website has instructions::

I had this exact problem after spybotting wildtangent.
Spybot doesn't remove the registry entry that starts wt on system startup.
I did this:
CLICK start > run
TYPE regedit
In registry editor open:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Run
In this folder look for the entry that seems to relate to Wild Tangent. Delete that entry.

I don't recommend doing much else to the registry as you can stuff your computer up quite severely.

This tip was given to me by an IT God and it worked for me. I hope it works for you too.

If you do try this, please reply to this message and let me know if it worked for you.

Good Luck

kellyr is right. Wild Tangent is hard to get rid of.

Before you do the registry command removal, be sure to back up the registry, and be very very careful. If you feel up to it, do a complete registry search for Wild Tangent, and get rid of any reference to it.

I would also search the hard drive and get rid of anything there as well.

If you're going to muck around with the registry it might be best to backup all the files you are still fond of first. Just in case your computer stops working correctly. Be prepared to reinstall windows and your programs.

Try downloading - Tuneup Utillities 2004 - from the above site. 30 day free trial. Who knows you might just decide to buy it like me.

It can tidy your registry up a bit for you - Safely. It backs important things before it makes changes so you can go back if it make a major stuff up.

It also does other cool things.
