I always go with the original- Intel. They're only about $20 more than the Intel Wannabe's (Asus, Abit, etc).
If you're going to go with Intel P4, then stick with its mate-Intel. The D845WN is an excellant board. BIOS upgrade with Intel is as simple as downloading the update BIOS program, double click, and sit back, because everthing is done automatically.
Good luck.

You forgot to emntion 3 makers of excellent Mobo's.

Iwill, AOpen, and Soyo.

all three make excellent boards.
I build PC's for a living. I only use Mobo's for either of those compaines.

I have never had a problem with any.

However, about using Intel P4's.
AMD Athlon XP's outperform them on every benchmark, even at lower clock speeds.

I just put together a system, Intel Pent 4 2.2Ghz, 1Gb Ram (RAMBUS) PC800. I used the Asus P4T-E Mother Board. No problems, everything went like clockwork.
