NTLDR is one of the files that's needed to bootup XP. It's a hidden system file that resides in ur C root directory. It can become corrupted after a bad shutdown and is a common prob.
1) Boot the PC from the XP disk (u may need to set the cdrom as the 1st boot device in the bios) 2) Select 'Repair Console' option (press 'R' when asked) 3) Type: copy x:\i386\ntldr C: (where 'x' is ur cdrom drive letter)
The file will be uncompressed via Repair Consoles's 'copy' command and copied to ur C drive. If u get a warning that the file will be overwritten, select 'Yes'.
Good Luck

Ok I disconnected my Raid card and just hooked up one of my Maxtor 80 gig drives directly to the motherboard and booted the computer. I ran the Repair program through the Windows XP Pro CD and then typed the line you said. It says "Access is denied."
What do I do?
Also why won't it detect my 2 hardrives when they're hooked through the Raid card? Everything was running fine a couple of days ago when it just did this out of the blue???
