I received a pc case w/ 256mb.ram, pentIII processor clocking 800mghz. fully intergated. Was intending on putting my existing(30gig) hard drive in this pc case which was running win98,so i thought to upgrade the existing drive to win XP so that there would be no issues finding drivers for the intergated componets. when I was done with the upgrade i installed the drive. during the boot I get a message "NTLDR is missing" "press anykey to restart" Why am i getting this message and how can i get rid of it???

NTLDR is an essential file used by Windows XP during the boot process. It will not work without it.
" when I was done with the upgrade i installed the drive "
This is where you went wrong. You should have installed the the drive first, then installed Windows XP. You cannot install Windows XP with the drive on one computer and transfer it to another without a load of hassle.
The easiest way to get rid of it is to start again and install Windows XP with the drive in the computer it is intended to be used on. Doing an upgrade from Windows 98 to Windows XP, although possible, is never a good idea. You will be better off in the long run doing a clean install.
