Hi, I have some files that are done in the RM format and am looking for the way to play them. I have been told that Real One Player will do the job, but I have also heard that I should avoid using Real One Player. After extensive googeling I find that there are RM viewers available as well. I have WMP 10 with the Divx codec pack installed at the moment. With all this information I am more confused than ever. Can anyone set me straight as to what I need to view my files? And like everyone else, I would like it to be freeware, since I don't know if the files are worth spending any money on them. Thanks alot. Bluejay

You have been given good advice about not using Real One player. Here is what I use Real Alternative, and it a spin off the old MS media player...

Man was that fast! 4 replies in nothing flat. I will look into your suggestion for Real Alternative tonight when I get home to that computer. Is this a stand alone player or does it integrate into or use WMP? Any more suggestions out there? Thanks again Bluejay

It is a stand alone player. It is a modified version of the old Microsoft Media Player 6.4.09.1130.

The Quicktime Alternative from the same website is worth getting as well...

Wombat: Just to let you know that I haven't forgotten to reply. I haven't had the time to install the progs suggested, but have looked into them. I did try one of the clips in my other computer which has real player in it and it played fine. But I am not going to install it (RP) in my home computer. Thanks Bluejay
