Just wondering what Moonie.exe is,its running in the back ground but did a file search and it comes up with nothing.
Was told this was a virus.
Anyone know?

kill the process.. see what happens. search for the file and find its path. what folder is it in? check msconfig and the startup registries... do a search in the registry for "moonies.exe"

Stopped the proccess but couldn't find it in a file search...when i reboot its right back running again..but can't be found??

According to McAfee virus scanner it's a virus: W32/Sdbot.worm.gen.i
I had it on my system and McAfee cleaned it with no problem.

will run a scan for free and take it out, it is attached to W32.Gaobot.XB virus worm which Norton does not recoginise.One very nasty piece of work
