I have a folder in my Program Files folder called "Flt" and I cannot delete it. I think it is one of those various annoying things that BearShare or iMesh installs (since I installed both of those programs and then uninstalled). There is nothing in my Add/Remove Programs list in relation to this but the file seems to be used every time I start up my computer. How can I remove this file ("flt.dll") and folder ("Flt")?

*sigh* I hate programs that install a whole bunch of little useless programs all over your computer without uninstall options. I've already removed about 10 other programs that were installed along with BearShare and iMesh.....
Maybe I should read the fine print.

I have them on my HDD too. They are filters associated with graphic editing programs. You do not want to delete them

By the way, what would prompt you to want to delete those files? (They most likely belong to MS Paint) And how did you make the determination that some files are useless and others are not, especially when you do not know what the files are. :-O

It was never there before and I noticed it after I installed iMesh and BearShare. So I thought it was one of the annoying programs those two things install along with them. I guess I'll leave it. Someone keeps making Trillian screw up now too so I have to find that. It's been doing it since yesterday and I've already tried reinstalling.
