On my system I have an executable file named “cs.exe”. I have Googled for information and I have mixed results. Symantic relates it to a virus W32.HLLP.Sharpei@mm also known as “Win32.Harp.” Another Google site indicates that it is connected to the Firewall and something to do with a “server”, my apologies for the lack of information here but I used a registry cleaner to clear it all out before too much damage was done.
It still appears in my msconfig and it still sits in the system although I have no renamed it to cs.txt. I have disabled the msconfig line also and so far nothing untoward has happened to my system.
My question therefore is “what is cs.exe” and has anyone else had any experience of it?
Regards,
Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

Where is the file located on your drive (c:/...)?
Does it show up in the taskmanager or just msconfig ?

Thanks for your reply. It shows up in msconfig but not in Taskmanager but perhaps that is because I have deleted it from the registry and it is located in C:/

Some google hits will indicate it's part of virus; at least one (as below) suggest otherwise...

As already suggested by Johnw - perhaps do your own google trawl using:
cs.exe
as the search term/string; it will bring up numerous hits for yout perusal/decision...

Thank you all... as I mentioned in my post I have already Googled for cs.exe with the varying results that I mentioned and as trvlr has also discovered. I'll persevere though and I'll come back with results.
Regards.
