I downloaded ad-aware from downlaod.com and installed it and i have have list of regerstarty keys and programes and i dont know whats spy whare or what it is or weathers it will effect my system or what to get rid of! You will most certainly lose a program ability when you delete some of those files. I would chose to backup those files before I deleted them and then see what programs keep working and the ones that dont. Most spyware comes from freeware downloads and that will be the program you will lose likey. Just be sure you have the setup file in case you desire the program and want to reinstall in case you cant repair your deleted file. Even microsoft has a couple of files that ad-aware calls spyware from nothing but a fresh install of windows. Or atleast I ran ad-ware one time right after nothing but a windows installation and the ad-aware and found like two files of spyware.

One thing I'll mention about Adaware is that it hasn't been updated for at least 3 months!I would recommend not using it.Damage is possible when the detections haven't been updated!Spybot search and destroy is free also and is updated frequently.(www.lurkhere.com in the nice files)I would recommend installing that program and reading the help files before using it.It is effective.If you do have BDE projector,remove it asap!It's spyware and worse than that.Go to ZDNet and look in the anchordesk archives for Brilliant Digital.There are articles from April and May.But it does appear that you are loaded with spyware!If you are using a p2p program like kazaa or Imesh,you will lose that p2p service after spyware removal.Hope this helps you.JB

You have lop.com?That definitely needs to go!That nasty program can be hard to get rid of.Does your homepage get hijacked?(redirected or changed without you changing it).Spybot will remove Gator and BDE easily,lop may be harder to cure.Try Spybot and if lop is still a problem either go to Spybot forum(info&license>credits)thru Spybot or go to spywareinfo.com support forum for expert advice.HTH JB

You can safely remove anything that AdAware has found. But AdAware is pretty outdated now, so I recommend you also download Spybot Search & Destroy here: http://patrick.kolla.de/ After you download it, use the online button to searh for updates and download them. Then close Spybot and open it again and run. No doubt it will find more spyware. Did you read the page about BDE on doxdesk.com? I would remove it, but read the instructions on that page first. It is part of Brilliant Digital, a company known for adware/spyware. It is associated with Kazaa. If you are a Kazaa user, you should unintall it before running AdAware or Spybot. If you are into p2p, get an alternative like Kazaa Lite,spyware free. Your not quite right there suzi, You will sometimes lose program abilities by deleting some spyware. Example being the file sharing programs.
