When I insert my new Sims 2 game into my computer and try to play it says "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the lastest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The Application will now terminate."

I dled DirectX 9.0c from microsoft.com and no change... Does this mean I have to buy a new graphics card? :(

Don't know about games but it says latest drivers. Did you try the latest drivers for your graphics card?

Video Adapter Intel(R) 82810E Graphics Controller (4 MB)
3D Accelerator Intel i752
Monitor Plug and Play Monitor [NoDB] (124751369)

The intel appears to be the graphics card but with only 4 megs of ram may be the problem. I don't game so I don't know what sims 2 is but it may require more than 4 megs of memory on the graphics card. Wait for another opinion.

the 82810e sounds like the MOBO chipset, go to Start Run and type DXDIAG and look at display for video card info.

Buy a 'new' video card. Make sure it is compatible with directX 9.

Totally, seems to me you have an intergrated graphics solution by Intel, which is a total no-no for ANY 3D game. Go buy something good for your computer.

Like a 9800Pro (they're very cheap)
