CLASSPNP.SYS PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Details follow.
Ok, around new years my computer blue screened, reset before I could read the error, and never booted back up again, after I changed some sound setings. After I reformatted and reinstalled, it worked fine for a few days, then did it again, with the exact same trigger.Thinking it might be the sound card, I pulled it and enabled the onboard sound. Booted up, ran fine. Just in case, I disabled the restart on system fail option so if I had more probs I could get the message.
Since it ran fine after I pulled the card, I concluded the card had went bad, and bought a new one (SB Live) because my onboard sound does not support the 4 speaker setup I have.
Plugged new card in, ran fine til yesterday, when I kicked it out of screensaver mode, it gave me the error listed at the top of the post.
After that, I could not get it to boot, it would go past the POST and get as far as "Searching for boot record on IDE0" and freeze.
Just to see, I pulled the card and put it in a different PCI slot, and it now runs fine again.
I wish I could remember if the slot I had the new one in initially was the same as the old one, if it was maybe the slot went bad? Or maybe my HD is tanking? (Really hope its not my motherboard, pain in the arse to replace that)
Anyway, can anyone tell me what that error message was indicating?

I have copied this of some pages at Microsoft. Do a search in Google.
