What can I do to fix this HP PA Application

February 28, 2011 at 16:30:26
Specs: Windows XP
Very randomly I will open up a program like Sims, or IE, or Word or some other random program and not even 5 sec. into the program my computer goes to a blue error screen and says the computer needs to restart. When I go into the event logger I check the System Error and then the HP PA Application Error. Under the system error records every thing is fine, but then when I go into the HP PA application error records I see a red circle with an X going threw it and it says ERROR... this is what the error says every time.... please help me... I am at a loss of what to do

You need to post the STOP error message that's on the blue screen. That message is the key to fixing the problem. For example:

http://media.techtarget.com/digital...

If you're not seeing such a screen, you need to disable "automatically restart":

ok I disable the auto restart.... and now all i can do is wait for it to happen again... but like i said it is so random....i never know when to expect it... I will post again when the error repeats itself....
