what are the needs to start ADSL connetion ??

Specs: Windows XP, 3.5/4
can anyone tell me what i need other than these devices that's i'm going type'em down below to do an ADSL connection ??

Router. " TP-LINK (TD-8840T) " (Not wireless)


network cable.

2 phone cables.

DSL gate ready .

that's it ,

do i need anything other than those devices to start an ADSL connection ??
do i need a Network card ??

First of all, you need a subscription (account) to ADSL service through an ISP.

You appear to have more hardware than you need, with one exception: filters for every phone outlet you intend to use for land-line phone. These filters are to allow both digital and analog being used at the same time, without interference.

Your ISP is your very best bet to get the essential information you need.

Your "TD-8840T" is a combination DSL modem and a router, described here:
TD-8840T←(click here). Reading the description/specifications might de-mystify things for you. Also, there are loads of sites with simple diagrams showing everything required...if only you use Google!

Yes, you need network card on computer, so that can connect to router. You can check out this wired home network setup tutorial, hope able to give you mode ideas. It's not difficult to set up a network, just need some time to play with it.
