Oh no! My whole keyboard incl cabel got really wet (don't ask), plugged it back in my pc while it was almost dry, then my computer crashed. Once restarting an error came up before logon (some file was missing) and my mouse refused to work if my keyboard was plugged in.. Has this happened to anyone before? Do I need a new keyboard, or have i damaged my ps/2 port as well? After opening it up and drying it from inside i now get into my logon screen but my keys don't work at all.. Sorry for the stupid question, but..

The faulty interface lies between the chair and the keyboard.

You may well have damaged the PS/2 port. You need to try a known working PS/2 keyboard. Connecting the KB while wet wasn't the best thing you could have done.

If all else fails you may be able to use USB devices. PS/2 is better because USB doesn't always work before booting into Windows. At some point you may need the KBoard at startup. If you don't have one to try go to a flea market or even watch on the curb for throwaways.

Likely it's the keyboard itself that has suffered... As "OtH" suggest... try a new/replacement one?

Where I work keyboards (not infrequently) get a sudden bath with water (and even tea/coffee; and even soup on at least one occasion...). It's 50-50 as to whether or not we get away with simple dry out job; even a wash/clean out under running water etc. - and then a warm-air blower job... Sometimes yes, sometimes no way.

If there's sugar in the bath water, or it's coca-cola etc. then it's invariably the KOD for keyboard. We have yet to lose an acutal PC/Mobo itself (as in the ps2 socket etc...).
