Comment: hi.I just bought this pc at the auction and it came with window xp however when turn the pc on there alway a message that i have 30 days left to activate window with the xp code however i do not have but i try to put my cd keys for window xp pro in but it will not accept it.Please help should i put my cd in and boot it up and reinstall window without format the c drive.I would like to partion my 120G in to 50G and70G because it came with 120G partion.tk in advance

Reply: (edit)If you cannot get your serial number from the vendor of the computer then you will have to contact Microsoft to explain the situation. To partition your drive use Partition Magic v8, earlier versions will not work with XP.

Reply: (edit)The Windows activation code is just for them to make sure that you have installed a legitiment copy of Windows. You must be connected to the internet, or you need to call their 1-800 number and their representative will give you your activation code. If you are online, then it should do it automatically.
