hi. recently whenever i start up my computer and open up firefox i get this one popping sound played. it sounds like one of those taskbar popups, but there is nothing there. this just started happening and only happens the first time i open firefox. what could this be thats making it?
btw i just upgraded my Zone alarm free to the newest version. could that be making the sound?

Zone Alarm has been known to cause all kinds of different issues. Restart and do not open fire fox till you shut down zone alarm...this will either tell you it is causing the problem or not.
If still causing an issue then try to reinstall fire fox and see if that cures it..
I think that it is a conflict between pop-up blockers so you might try turning them all off and then rebooting and turn them on one at a reboot to see if you can tell where it is...process of elimination
