Comment: computer is just weird!!! it's like it works fine for today, then the next day it messed up god knows where!!! for my own computer, it seems to me that if i (windows) update my computer, maybe sometimes the updated files are not compatible with my computer, they sometimes freeze my computer, or did other kind of stuff!!! and then i went back to a earlier restore point the problems were solved!! ok! here is my problem now, (i think i did an update before this problem come up,maybe i just blame on update too much?? ) WHEN i boot up my computer, when it goes to "verifying pool DMI data" it took a few seconds and then said "boot from CD:boot from CD:..." followed, then it just keep waiting there! what had happened??? what i need to do!! (no settings were changed the day before the problem occured) please help, thankz in advance!!

Reply: (edit)You could pop in XP bootable CD and during install you will be offered various choices: repair, upgrade install etc dependent on many factors, though choosing wrong options could destroy all your data!

Reply: (edit)Seems like your system is not booting on the harddrive which normally should be the first device the system should be booting from. It appears, it is trying to boot off your cdrom drive, possible you have a problem booting from your harddrive. I am surprise you are getting that message without a disk in the cdrom drive. My suggestion is to make sure the harddrive is set up as the first device to boot from. abeza
