I guess you could do it. One way might be to write a simple redirect from your page.

Well i havent actually built a page yet, i want to, but i only want my local network to be able to access it, im not sure how to do this.

Click on- START>HELP AND SUPPORT Type in- "IIS" (no quotes)

If you have a home or work network with a router, then if you set up a web server, only people on your network will see it unless you forward port 80 through your router to your machine. You could use iis that is built into XP pro or you could use other free ones like the ones on this page. I'm sure there are others if you want to search the net.
