im looking for a way to get a list the contents of any URL, like the files and folders and stuff. i dont want to see the actual webpage, just the files (html, jpg, folders, etc) is there a program or something that does this?

Hey, i'm a webmaster and i can solve your problem. Now, this all depends if you have your own FTP acount and have access to it. Normally any server makes sure that your files are the less exposed to any kind of file robber. Like you probably already noticed when you have an "index.html" or any "index" file in a folder when you go to that folder it will open the "index". I'm not sure for what reason you want to look at your files int your site but if you upload your files in a folder that doesnt have a "index" file in it it totally open to everyone so you can download those files from any pc without any FTP program (For example http://chemilogical.cyberamusement.net/images/) you can see all the files because there isnt any "index". Now if you want to see the files in a folder that has an "index" file then the best way is to use an FTP program like FlashFXP or CuteFTP. But if you want to look at your files from any browser or PC then the best way is to use this online program that I one of my programers made http://www.cyberamusement.net/ftp/. With this online program you can enter your URL and user name and pass word adn browse your files like a folder. It does have some errors but works pretty good. Feel free to use it all you want. (it does work very well with most servers and win xp). Hope i answered your question.
