Hi all. I bought a new webcam (No details other than its a "webcams4U". theres no model number or anything for it). Its brand new boxed from a retailer. I have 4 computers running in my house, and this pc is the only 1 which this camera fails on. The pc is fully updated, and when i plug it into the usb port, I have 2 minutes to set it running, or will not work. Once running it will go for hours, but the second you stop capture, it will never start again until reboot (then the cycle happens again). If I don't have it plugged in after a boot, all is ok, but as soon as it's plugged in, I must abide by the cycle rules lol (2 mins or no chance). I have even done a format and clean installed windows (i presume this means a total wipe and install, which is what i did), but the problem doesn't go away. On all the other pc's the camera fuctions as perfect as I want it, so I know the camera is fine. I even tried updating the usb drivers, but no joy. Anything I can do, or shall I wait until I build another pc lol? Thanks for reading. Neil.

Interesting problem. You might of already done so but try another USB port. If it's still not working properly, i'd say it's your computer but hardware related.
