I'm presently trying to assist a friend who when trying to use his webcam has video, but no sound. The webcam does not have a built in mic so he is using an external mic. Now here is the strange thing. He can us voice recorder and record sound with his mic. However when he attempts to use windows movie maker and capture from the webcam he gets video, and no sound through the mic. Apparently the mic works and the webcam works, but they do not work together with windows movie maker. The webcam itself did not come with any type of recording software just drivers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
