Web pages wont load / adware apps

Some web pages wont load , and reason given as possible problem is adware apps., followed by suggestion to disable them. Is there a quick way to do that. I dont find it as an option in menus......using AdAware and Spybot.

Summary: what type of connection? dialup dsl cable? something you might try is going to control panel and deleting temporary internet files. sometimes i have to hit the refresh icon while a web page is loading...
