web pages not displaying correctly

Comment:
Not all web page links, gif images load on the page. For example, on Amazon.com "shopping cart", "submit" can not be seen. But when I glide the mouse over the page, the mouse "hand" will appear where a button link should be. This happens on other web sites. It happens whether I use Internet explorer or Firefox. What is missing?

krwhite, take a look at your settings and be sure you're allowing HTML, Active X and have it set to 'show pictures'. Sorta sounds to me like it's displaying 'text only'? HTH. Ed in Texas.

It is displaying text and pictures, just not all of the hyperlinks. I checked all the settings and they are fine.
