Web Page Word Wrap Doesn't Work

September 12, 2009 at 20:39:49
Specs: Windows XP
Nearly every web page I open with text has the text extending off the right side of the page.
To read it I must use the scroll bar at the bottom of the page.
It is this way when using Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome, but NOT when using Opera!

It has not always been this way so I know it can be fixed, but for the life of me I cannot find the way!

I hope you can help.

Basiccaly the code on the webpage desides whether it will wrap or not

If the page is setup with width=100% it will adjust the width of the page to the resolution of the viewer
If the width is stated hard like 1024 on all screen with a lesser resolution width of 1024 you will see a scroll bar.

There can be differences between browser because not all browsers act the same on html code

Thanks.
That sure did it!

However, now I have text being displayed so small it is nearly impossible to read.

I can select Win+ to increase the text size, but the on desktop, dialog boxes, browser header, explorer view, etc, can't be changed this way.

I set the screen resolution to 1024 X 768.
I know I need to make some changes in the Display Property Box, but not sure what changes to make.

Any specific help with these changes would be appreciated.
