we are unable to log on to our computers. the dialogue box is saying 'your account is disabled. please contact system administrator'. We are therefore trying to access the server but do not know the passwords. how can we get round this and onto the serverwithout them?
We think that there was a microsoft update yesterday which has caused this and our USB obviously couldn't handle it and it has set up a new username and password details of which we haven't got because we didn't setit up.
I don't think that an update from Microsoft would cause this sort of problem. Do you not have any sort of support on this server? I think you need to call in a consultant (preferably whoever set this up for you in the first place). The last thing that you want to do is to make matters worse by messing about with the server.
