Use WinMX http://www.winmx.com/ You can also use MX Monitor to help you run this program. It will give you far more chance of trading and stop leeching MX Monitor Download

DC++ requiers you to conect to a hub depending on what your looking for. It has all kinds of music and the stuff dloades alot quicker because its direct conection insted of p2p. It also has NO spyware or adware. If you want I can file transfer you a better version of this program than what is on dd++.com. E-mail me at theboat3058@yahoo.com if u want more info. This is the BEST file sharing program since napster!

oldpappy,
Exactly why do you miss mIRC, I'm using it as I type this, and it's 100% better than anything listed above.

Grimples says it's all illegal - what's illegal is copying and sharing copyright material, not running a P2P program.

In england it's only illegal if you sell what you get. So give it away for free!
I use Overnet and it's rather good. The only problem is that when you download full albums they come down as album wraps but there is a program that you can use to unwrap them.

What if you stipulate that the cost is to cover the disc & the case, not the material that's on it?

;)
