Comment:

In my desktop I can simply click any video, for example, from the site www.mybanglamusic.com and watch the file directly without downloading them. But in my laptop it asks to save the file and download.

Any idea?

Download and install Windows Media Player 11 from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/wi...

Then download and install Real Alternative from here: http://free-codecs.com/Real_Alterna...

Then download and install Quicktime Alternative from here: http://free-codecs.com/QuickTime_Al...

That pretty much guarantees that you'll be able to play any audio/video that's meant to be played in browser windows properly.

Thanks for the reply.

But that does not solve the "puzzle" why with same configuration for two PC it is different. It started since I used CCleaner and Adware SE. So I think it has something to do with a deleted file. I wonder what that is.

Any idea?

probably not a file but a registry entry. one of your codecs/plugins is probably corrupted now and requires a fix or reinstallation.

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

I encountered the same difficulty as you. I didn't want Windows Media Player installed here... period. Last time I had it installed it hijacked all my file associations and wanted to be the default player for everything. Since I paid good money for a Creative Audigy Soundblaster card, I want my Creative MediaSource player to handle everything for me.

I stumbled onto the Microsoft codec download site (above) and installed those codecs. I have absolutely no idea what it did or what specific codec it installed, but every online video plays fine now. So I must have had a missing codec(s) somewhere. Those online video clips that you mention also play fine now too. As I said, I don't know what codec was installed, nor do I really understand codecs too much neither, but luckily it solved my problem though....

Thought I'd mention that in case you have a similar situation.
