You can clear out your cookies, browsing history and temporary internet files and delete any other files containing that information. I don't know why you'd have that information on your computer anyway. When logging on to those sites don't you have to enter that information each time?

Plus you'll still be running your AV won't you?

And XP will be just as secure after April 8 as it is now. MS isn't 'taking away' anything. They're just not providing any new updates, although some updates may be available in China. See Riider's # 2 here:

but I don't know if I'd feel safe with security updates coming from China.

I agree with DAVEINCAPS. Why risk having that information fall into the wrong hands. I assume you are saving passwords and log in information on the computer.

I suggest you stop doing that. If you read your entire EULA for those accounts, I think you will find that you have responsibility to secure that information or you could be held accountable.

IMO it is OK to keep links to the log in screen but nothing more. Write down, or type out a list and keep it in a safe place. Immediately delete the list from your computer after printing it. Performing the above when off line is even safer.
