Want original desktop theme back on Win XP

for some reason my display settings have been reconfigured, and I want them back to the original XP theme that comes with fresh install, but I cannot find it, if I reinstall Win XP , will I lose all my files and folders or will it jusst reinstall what is missing? thanks

Simply rightclick on the desktop, choose Properties / Themes and choose the Theme you want.
