For several months now, Norton Antivirys 2005 has picked up the virus w32.licium in my World of Warcraft folder. It repairs them, but then corrupts them which then means I have to use the blizzard repair tool, and this takes ages. It only seems to affect WoW, and I did a full system scan and it cant be removed. I now have Windows Firewall on, but the Internet Worm Protection is off on Norton because the wireless network wont work when it is on.
1. Any idea how to remove the annoying virus, or should I just reformat?
2. Should Windows Firewall, or should I use something else?

This is the only virus that comes close to licium and it's W32 Licum. Go here for full removal instructions, which will include disabling System Restore (this is standard procedure in virus removal).

I suspect that it's a false positive. try an online check at

Or check with Norton.

I've gotten a couple false positives in the past few years.
