vundo trojan

I have been trying for days now to get rid of vundo infection. symantec can't do it, and I don't have unlimited funds to buy various software to do this with. I'm leery of removal websites now because there seems to be so many that can get rid of it easily, but seems to me these are all scams to keep it on the computer. I like the xoft spy se, and it works very well, except for the vundo trojan. Suggestions anyone???
