Comment:

I have a Vuego Brisa 310P scanner connected via the parallel port and I have downloaded the mirascan driver. I can't find the original disk that came with it to set it up, but using a program called "Photocopier" Mirascan finds the scanner and copies it OK. I've looked in the Mirascan folder but I can't see a program to run to use it to scan photos etc.
Can anyone help please ?

My advice is download/install driver again. It sounds like a driver issue.

Thanks for your help - I now recall I had an old program iPhoto Plus 4 which came with the scanner. I have installed it and it now works OK. This may help someone else with a Vuego driver problem.

Vuego scanners were an secondary brand marketed by Acer. Most were identical to Acer models, but with different branding and Vuego model numbers, with a minumum of drivers and applications included.
There used to be Vuego web sites, but they are gone now.
Support for Acer scanners used to be on the AcerPeripherals web site, which is no more - support for them is now at www.benq.com .
If you look for drivers for the Acer 310P scanner there, you will find drivers and probably other applications to go with them - they are either identical to the ones that were on your Vuego CD, or they are updated versions of those, but there may be more available than was on the CD included with your Vuego - the software was often made by Mirascan.
