I have the voodoo 5 5500 AGP as you
might have noticed, but for some reason
it does not like to work on my 98/XP box. I
do all my work in XP, but i have to do my
gaming in 98. not fun. I have checked out
voodoofile.com and they were'nt much
help. The official windows drivers did not
work either.
here are my system specs if they might
help you:
piii 650
512MB ram
voodoo 5 5500
linksys 10/100 netowrk card
hercules game theater XP sound card
seagate 20gb harddrive

What isn't working with the drivers you have installed? What kinds of problems are you having? I have a the same video card on one of my machines and it's running XP Pro. I used the Windows2000 drivers for it and to get the 3DFX tools to work (for all of the fancy features including anti-aliasing). Now it works as well as it did when I ran it on Win98. To be honest, I am not sure how the drivers will act on a dual-boot system, maybe someone else can provide that information. If you want it to work with XP, you can download the Win2000 drivers and then go to:
http://ansible.homeip.net:8080/tutorials/winxp_3dfx/winxp_3dfx.htmlFollow the tutorial and learn how to get your Voodoo card to work properly on Win XP. It works very well I have found. If you don't like it and are still getting P.O.'d by your Voodoo, bite the bullet and buy a new card. I'd keep the Voodoo myself :)
