Volume Display Bar on screen in XP

I used to have a volume display bar on screen so that I could see when my volume was going up or down when I would adjust it using my keyboard. Now that I have a freshly installed version of Windows XP Professional, I no longer have the bar. It's annoying to have to go into the volume panel to see where the volume is.
Does anyone know of a way to get a volume bar to display on screen while I'm adjusting my volume? Any programs or instructions will be greatly appreciated.

Look in the Control Panel under Sounds and Multimedia. Should be a check box there to show the icon on the Taskbar.

This is not part of XP. You will have to install the original software for your key board. If you don't have it find out the make, & do a Google for the drivers & software.
