I'm having a weird problem with my volume control settings as of today. I use a Logitech USB headset that's worked since i've had it. The problem i'm haveing is that the Volume control is set at the lowest possible setting for Speaker volume and when i adjust it, it automatically slides slowly back to the bottom. I have sound when i adjust it cause i can hear it, but it immediatley goes back to quiet as soon as i adjust it. I've run all the basic spyware and virus scans but haven't come up with anything. I'm open to suggestions, but I'd rather not have to reformat over something stupid like this.

What volume control are you talking about. Is it from your sound card or from your built in on your mobo or is it an addon feature with your logitech headphones?
i can't see that you would have to reformat over a sound issue anyway. But you might try to uninstall which ever one it is and reinstall it.
